Dark Energy Wave: Barry is part of the original crew with Carl, K.K. and Elle. They were in Chicago during the exodus and they were all able to resist the mental influence of Bill Ides after the dark energy surge. Barry fights loyally for the cause of human freedom and pledges his own life to Carl.
Dark Energy Wave: When he was transformed, 001 didn't even realize at first. He discovered his precognitive powers when he had to disarm a bomb on a school bus. He could not disarm the bomb itself and instead quickly built shock absorbers and metal plates around the bomb. When it went off, no one was hurt. He took his new skills and made a bunker for himself in an old subway tunnel. This became the headquarters for Powerhouse. 001 is in NYC. He has many interesting theories on life and enjoys philosophizing as much as he immerses in pure science. Powerhouse jumped into battle against The Hierarchy after Flo killed Wasteoid for the second time. They had felt a tremor in the city and investigated its origin. 001 sent his android out first and it was bound and degraded by Flo and Ikeman. This led the full super hero team known as Powerhouse into battle.
Mr. Dude and The Dummy
Dark Energy Wave: Mr Dude and The Dummy are sent by Skank down to NYC to have a meeting with The Hierarchy. While they are down there they discover Super Nomad. This leads to a battle that will eventually have Super Nomad waging a war with The Host that matches the intensity of his personal vendetta with The Hierarchy.
Dark Energy Wave: Bit was manufactured by 001. He made her as a way to protect Lash. Lash lives inside Bit's body. There is a wonderful living space created for Lash there. Bit is very casual about her existence. It kind of reveals the phoniness of true A.I. being sentient. Bit lives within her rational and logical means only. She is creative and can show intuition, however, she suffers no anguish or joy. She is a robot and yet is an extremely valuable member of her super hero team. She begins to adopt a personality that is more and more catered to her relationship with Lash.
Bit proved to be an enormous force against The Hierarchy in their battle. After defeating Ivey one-on-one, she proceeded to attack Flo, which eventually made the super villain team back off into a general retreat. Bit has a good sense of humor although dry at times. She has no other purpose than to fight with Powerhouse and join their cause.
Dark Energy Wave: Ironically, Crimson Wolf's military assignment was in Sudan. She encountered Bill Ides as he made his way down to his palace in southern Egypt. She had an opportunity to kill him and passed it up. She then made her way back to Canada and eventually found Rebel Grey and The Root. She was quick to join up and add her expertise to their forces and their cause. She has a special mental resistance to Bill Ides due to their early encounter.
Dark Energy Wave: K.K. has been with The Root from the beginning. Barry, Carl, Elle and himself are the original members of the rebellion. He is a great tactician and devised many successful plans that helped the Root defeat villains, survive attacks, and eventually helped them get settled in the national park in Pennsylvania. He is an experienced hunter and helped teach Carl and Elle how to shoot guns.
Dark Energy Wave: When transformed, Temp was in Florida. He traveled around the state looking for other people that might have super powers. When he couldn't find anyone, he decided to venture up north toward NYC. There was a hub of super powered activity there. He met 001, Hemi and Migs and joined their team of super heroes. Temp does the chores and runs the errands for Powerhouse. He doesn't mind, despite being mocked by his team for the menial role. It is all in good humor and it makes more sense that Temp be the one to do doughnut runs and coffee runs or fetch new pens and washing detergent. He can be a powerful player in a battle, however, he doesn't understand the limits of his powers yet and this leaves him open to attack and he can burn himself out easily.
Dark Energy Wave: Manuka rolls tight with Boogey Girl. They do everything together and Cassie needs his physical protection in a world of powerful super beings. In dream world, Manuka is brought in by Cassie and can be extremely powerful. He often appears as a tall and slender mosquito man called, Mr Black.
Dark Energy Wave: Sassy was responsible for preparing Phyllis for her new reality. Sassy battled the second Rule and Hellgrade and forced them off of the asteroid and back to Earth. She is loyal to Bast and provides a worthy friendship for the Goddess.
Dark Energy Wave: When he woke from his coma, he had been dumped in his gurney in the parking lot at the back of the hospital. He noticed the strange behavior of people around him and decided to seek out answers. Lion eventually found Crimson Wolf, who had been sent out to find new recruits and bewildered people capable of resisting Bill Ides. After some interesting adventures, they finally made their way back to The Root's headquarters in Pennsylvania.
Dark Energy Wave: Phyllis helps Crunchy reach
Skank's chamber. They share a little information, but, Crunchy gains some valuable riddles to consider for the future and she learns some of the weaknesses of Skank and what to expect from her as a leader.
Dark Energy Wave: Ivey is Flo's right hand and will defend her with her own life. Their powers are closely connected. Ivey respects the knowledge, experience, and power that Flo has had throughout her life. Ivey barely tolerates the other members of The Hierarchy. She is a brash and arrogant young woman. She throws her weight around and when powered beings try to enter NYC, they are confronted by her. Ivey went searching for Wasteoid under this prerogative.
Boogey Girl Cassie
Dark Energy Wave: Boogey Girl is in some ways a co-ruler in Atlantis with Evolucia. Many of the Atlanteans believe that Cassie is needed in the city. This makes her arrogant, although she is very appreciative of her fans. She will take on Evolucia in the decision making as if they were equals. Evolucia treats her like a daughter in some ways and in other ways pretends like she doesn't exist and doesn't belong.
Dark Energy Wave: When Ikon was transformed, at first, he didn't realize what had happened to him. He felt like he was trapped behind a looking glass so to speak. When he realized the truth, he committed some heinous acts and started to set up his mental rule of NYC. Ikon runs a cult of young people in NYC. He doesn't care as much about adults, but, he keeps a responsible control over them based on the Bill Ides style of human management. The young people are dealt with very differently. He keeps them in line at all times. At nighttime he has Sapphic orgies in the park with all of his specially selected young women. Some young men are invited to view, but, not participate. He is a Sadist and a pervert.
Dark Energy Wave: When Lash was transformed, she became so small that she was terrified she would be trampled by people that could not see her or would not acknowledge her. Nevertheless, she made it from Boston to NYC at 3 inches in height. 001 found Lash working her way through downtown NYC and felt scared about the threat of her being trampled by crowds. He had his android grab her up and carry her off to the Powerhouse headquarters. He made Bit for Lash to live in and as a bodyguard and friend for her. Lash couldn't have been happier. Later, 001 made mechanical wings for Lash and then she was able to fly during battle.
Dark Energy Wave: Papa Z and Lush met Crunchy in Las Vegas. They offered her an opportunity to join them. She was not impressed with his behavior and disrespect. There was a battle and Crunchy moved on. Later, when Crunchy made it to Chicago, she ran into the giants again outside The Host headquarters.
Dark Energy Wave: Ikeman's underground tunneling makes him the ideal character to gather information for The Hierarchy. He was able to provide a heads-up on the arrival of Mr Dude and The Dummy as well as knowing that Powerhouse was searching for the second grave of Wasteoid. His alertness can make a big difference in battle.
Dark Energy Wave: Scribe is responsible for the building of Atlantis. Scribe has developed a secret language with Evolucia so that they can conduct certain private business without alerting Bill Ides and other telepaths that might be scanning. The language is built on negation and misdirection. It is also based on some of the books and stories that they have both read. It seems that Scribe is a highly-educated and knowledgeable man. Unfortunately, so is Bill.
Dark Energy Wave: Lush is in Las Vegas when Crunchy shows up. She and Papa Z battle Crunchy. She is at The Host headquarters later when Crunchy goes to get some answers from Skank. Lush is not that interesting a person to talk to. She tends to look down on others and will likely need to be humbled if she ever hopes to expand the worth and efficacy of her powers.
The Black Skull
Dark Energy Wave: Black Skull made his way to the Allegheny National Park after picking up a radio signal The Root had sent out from the radio tower where their new base was located. His uniform and aggressive attitude led Rebel Grey into believing that Black Skull was a super powered being attempting to attack. After a brief battle, Black Skull succumbed to numbers and Crimson Wolf, specifically. They made amends and he joined forces with The Root.
A team of young super heroes with a great amount of initiative and intuition, as well as, raw power. Settled outside Bill Ides's palace from day one, they appreciate the magnitude of the offense that Bill's tyrannical rule brings to human freedom. They attempt to master their powers while inching ever closer to their ultimate goal of toppling Bill.
Dark Energy Wave: The original members of The Realness all went to school together in the United States. When they were all transformed, Bill approached them mentally and made an offer to them. He sensed their future potential and great power. They sensed his nefarious wiles and duplicitous offers. They immediately rejected him and made their way to Egypt right away in order to stop him. Fail is the leader because he is the most confident of the group. He fears no one and will stand up for himself and his friends, always.
Fail and The Realness have been battling waves of Bill's mad mind slaves for months on end with only short breaks in between. They do not want to kill anyone and work extra hard to simply knock their attackers unconscious. Fail does not want to back off because he calculates that Bill's relentlessness equates to his fear of the potential they present for dethroning him.
Dark Energy Wave: Amp is most enthusiastic to use the upper limits of his powers. He enjoys feeling boundless. He respects the MO of his team and does want to be a hero, however, it is tempting not to simply electrocute the waves of mind slaves that are thrown at them when the battles are mostly about protecting his best friends. Amp, Flunky and Fail all used their powers in conjunction on Epic to knock him free from the mind control of Bill Ides. It set a frightening precedent as Bill had shown a propensity to use his powers on other powered beings for one of the first times.
Dark Energy Wave: Epic originally called himself Sporto. He enjoyed using sports equipment to defeat his opponents. He tried to make the battles against Bill's mind slaves a game, in order to keep his cool and stay sane. Eventually, it got to him and he went on his own to Bill's palace to kill him. He made it right up to Bill and had his hands on the old man's throat. Bill woke up and blasted Epic with a pure telepathic backlash. It transformed Epic. He was no longer Sporto. He was now a disciple of Bill's. He called himself God Mode. He was sent out to extinguish his old friends. Bill had transferred some of his own power over to Epic. Eventually, Epic was defeated by his old friends. Kiki nearly killed him. Bill's hold was vanquished and Epic changed his name a final time. He retained the abilities and powers that Bill had granted him as well as gaining valuable insight that could help defeat Bill. In the end, they were able to oust Bill from Egypt. He disappeared and no one could find him. He was on Island Z.
Dark Energy Wave: Flunky was as horrified as the rest of her team by what Bill was doing to everyone around the world, and she was eager to stop it. She traveled with her team to Egypt and has found using her powers to be a huge challenge. Bill has allowed the super hero team of kids to get close to him because he is interested in taking over the mind of Flunky. Thus far, Bill and other telepaths have few to no abilities to manipulate other powered beings. If Bill could control her, he could consolidate his power and rule over all beings. Flunky left her team for a while because she accidentally killed one of Bill's mind slaves while she was using her powers to defend her friends. She spent some time in Western Africa and realized how cruel and awful regular life truly is. She returned to her friends with a new appreciation of her powers and the potential they represent.
