If the banner at the top of this page (titled "American Charity") offends you, then you should leave this site immediately. This is not social media. This is a digital-based domicile and a personal website. You are in a digital home. There are house rules.
It's pretty straightforward - if you were to look through drawers in a bedroom then don't be surprised to find a dildo or a bottle of lube. If that kind of stuff offends you then maybe you shouldn't be rifling through bedroom drawers that aren't yours. If you read someone's diary, don't be surprised when there is colorful language or personal insults. If that kind of stuff bothers you then maybe you shouldn't be reading other people's diaries.
Sections and pages (or rooms, to fit the analogy) at this website (digital home) are marked with stamps and titles to give you a good indication of what you might find in them.
I probably didn't invite you here, so it's basically like you are walking into my house simply because the door is unlocked and you could find the address in the white pages. I don't have a social obligation to make my residence invisible or walled. You have a moral duty to be a good guest in someone else's home - digital or real-life, it doesn't make a difference.
If I did invite you here then you are welcome to explore my home provided that you keep in mind the aforementioned ideas about how one explores homes that are not their own. When I'm invited over to someone's place for a dinner party or any occasion, I typically don't go into all the rooms of the house. If I did become nosy like that, I wouldn't then judge people on what I shouldn't have seen in the first place.
This is the caveat for using LowBrowsing properly. If you can't follow that then you should leave.

r/K Universe...
I haven't commissioned artists in years, but I decided to hire Ivanna Matilla for three color commissions. She did an incredible job on all of the pieces and at an affordable rate. I highly recommend her because she's not only a gifted colorist but a talented painter as well. I finally have colors on Bill Ides, Ginman, Scribe, Ikeman, Ikon and LeStelle!
Critical Work - Game Studies
I am still working on a dissertation that examines the mobile game, Gods of Olympus.
Disclaimers...
Worth mentioning is that the content of Massifesto and Prolepticon (in the r/K Universe section of LowBrowsing) is not self-effacing and there is an important context that has to be understood. So please read the precis... especially before you start jumping around via the stamps on the front page.

My website is intended to be a few things: ironic, a stream of consciousness, experimental philosophy. I hold individualism to be the most important quality of existence, and although in the past I have been a supporter and opponent of different ideas, movements, and people, the reality is that this website presents experimental thoughts and volatile ideas. History isn't fixed and it is constantly subject to reinterpretation therefore all ideas that individuals hold should be the same. But, if you want to know who I really am and how I really think, you'd have to meet me in real life.
As for online, I like that the web is a platform for provocation and I believe that this helps people grow and develop, both through authorship and readership. If someone claims that how they present themselves online is genuine to who they really are then you should meet that person with the greatest suspicion. The web is a place of creative performances where you can try out new personas, personality traits, ideas, and philosophies. I laud the human race for maintaining the web in this way and the moment that this place ends up policed for ideas and personal statements is where we have then found ourselves living in an Orwellian dystopia. I am against true hate speech and I never recommend harm against others. Almost all of my work is to be treated as fiction and fantasy. If you can't do that then you shouldn't be here. |

Art Blog...
Social media sites are becoming mostly crooked and corrupt, and I don't trust using them. Content gets pulled and accounts get suspended, thus defying community trust. Currently, I suspect that smaller social media apps use microphones and cameras to record and store user data. We are far too trusting (or apathetic) when signing up for social media and handing over our privacy rights.
I plan on making my own social networking site in the future, but that is a very big project so some other stuff comes first. I love sharing the best art so that people discover great artists. I was using social media to share art, but have taken a break. However, my art galleries at LowBrowsing feature thousands of the best artwork ever created. |

Mission Statement...
There is no truth in collectivist activism for the Engineering epoch. I accept that activism was critical in previous epochs and I do not argue against the value of the American Civil War, or French Revolution, or Civil Rights movement. My fear is that the activism borne of the Service epoch may disrupt our transition to the Engineering epoch and delay our social progress long enough that automation renders us useless. I believe that this anxiety is at the heart of classical notions of socialist dystopias. We get a sense in classic dystopian narratives, from film and literature, human work is redundant and organized for political ends because there is no other purpose for human effort. We must avoid this future.
The most effective way to make the transition to the Engineering epoch is to master individual-based rationality, to reject political activism which does not naturally resonate internally, and to promote the philosophy of shared space over that of safe space.

There are some old LowBrowsing disclaimers still on this site. There are also explanations for The Massifesto and The Prolepticon. I create a lot of online personas and explore those characters through assuming their identity at times. I believe that this is a great exercise for writers, which I consider myself to be. It is like shadow-boxing... so don't put your face too close to my fist because I'm not intending to knock you the fuck out.

It is difficult to keep track of my aliases, but currently Fons Bormer represents original creative work (formerly Lobotomous Monk). Lobotomous now represents my identity in the world of gaming as that name has been my gamertag for many years. The r/K Universe has Lobotomous Coal's Prolepticon and Bill Ides's Massifesto. XHT Media is for work that reviews other people's creative work, and not my own. If I did it, that content is in the first three sections, and if someone else did it and I'm reviewing that then it is in XHT (with a few exceptions). I cycle through my online identities but here is a shorter list: Typo Monq, Typo Oth, Lobotomous Monk, and Fons Bormer. Some of my older work still has these aliases (and maybe others such as "A.J. Dubya" or "Jackman Wylde").
If it is important for you to contact me and deal with me directly, email is lowbrowsing @gmail.com. However, if you stay at this site then you agree that this is a place where fiction and reality are intentionally conflated and ALL work is satirical. I'm serious.
