The Good, The Bad and The Buggy - Destiny (2014)
It took me awhile to get new games for my Xbox One, but when I did I picked up Destiny. I've always been a huge fan of Halo games for their campaign, so it was interesting to play Destiny and review it. As much as the game is very good, it seems that the days of Halo 2 campaigns are behind us now. Developers only want to milk whales through multiplayer features like custom armour and gun skins.
Bonus: Destiny Elephant Trot
The thing that I despise about Destiny is the virtual prostitution - if you go to the Tower you will see max level players standing around AFK showing off their exotic armour - like walking through the hallways of a brothel. You will also see these buffoons dancing around with each other trying to draw attention. They are attention whores and it reveals an incredible insecurity as well as pointing to how global game culture is currently broken and base with respect to virtue.
If you choose to look at it as some expression of multiculturalism, cooperation, and sharing then you are naive. Bungie is the sugar daddy and the players who stand around the Tower doing a fashion show are daddy's little whores. It's disgraceful but it is the player community's fault for indulging in piracy. I don't really blame Bungie for doing what they must to remain economically viable.
