80s and 90s Animated Shows - Heroic Cartoons
Top 10 Series List...
I deeply appreciate how lucky I was to be raised in the 80s. Technology was still appreciated because we were just being introduced to new digital devices such as cell phones, laptops, GPS and video games. Western values had not yet suffered from the Ideological Left propaganda that has ravaged culture in the last fifteen years. Sure, traditional heteronormative values were promoted - which suited me fine given I am a traditional heterosexual. It has been difficult to not completely reject culture since 2000 given how overwhelming the dogmatic left-wing propaganda is and how it infects day-to-day interactions as if we were stuck in a nightmarish Orwellian dystopia.
In addition, media piracy was not an all-encompassing enterprise back in the 80s and 90s. This meant that new writers and creators could offer their stories to the entertainment industry and the public could see what they thought through watching and providing ratings. Cable television had just launched and there were still only a dozen channels worth watching. This meant that any show that aired had a strong team of producers, directors and writers behind it. Needless to say, I miss the 80s and even the 90s. I mark the moment where I realized everything was going down the toilet as when our society misconstrued an old woman as having been greedy and stupid while spilling McDonald's coffee on her legs and then successfully suing for millions. There was a sense at that moment that Western culture was soon to be hijacked by the self-absorbed and weak.
Oh well, all I can do is reminisce and share what I remember from a great time in Western culture. Here are the ten best animated cartoon series from the 80s and 90s that had a theme of heroism. The hero was an important figure in the 80s and 90s culture. Most of us knew that we were just regular people and we looked up to heroes and wanted their deeds to inspire us. Since 2000, the trend has been to condemn heroes and hail the average individual. Heroics becomes whatever a normal person considers to be a challenge that they have met... which is almost always totally mundane and average deeds. The cartoons in this list promoted true heroic deeds and had worthy, menacing adversaries put to the task of evil-doing as a means for challenging the hero. There were life lessons imbued into the episodes and values that helped people grow up more introspective and aware of what makes for real fairness and equality. It wasn't a bunch of idiotic special moves and spells that had no rhyme or reason, like in most anime. This was the best stuff. Bring it back!
